im happy with my jam ecu. rev limit is higher. dunno where the fuel cut now is, if it even has one!?!? speed cut i dont know about either, speedo goes off the clock at 115, after that its guesswork!

An Emanage is not an aftermarket ECU.

I have an Omex, simple - fuel, ignition. Still in the process of wiring it up though, so can't really comment.

no, i have a different dial face. even with the stock ecu it went passed the 115mph on the dail so its probably miles out anyway

I have a Blitz Access. No problem with it. Mapped to 1.2kg/cm, 8000rpm rev limiter, and no speed limiter. Plug and play. Its tuned for a fast road set up. I've only had two problems with it. 1)Its tuned for 100+octane and I only get 90 in Jamaica so I'll never get to use its fullest potential and 2)I changed my fuel pump for a short while and the car ran like crap because the new pump threw off the fuelling. Other than that its worked fine. I have an Emanage which I will be adding later to retune for Jamaican conditions, but I won't be swapping back to the stock ECU anytime soon.

surely the fuel pump shouldnt affect anything? the fuelling is regulated to a set amount so a new pump wont alter it unless the one you remove is getting tired and cant even maintain the pressure it needs.

I reckon if you guys have the Jam or other ECU's you get you will definately have Fuel cut removed along with top speed limit removed thats pretty much certain imo!

Jam ecu makes a nice difference to the fuel bills if you can keep the lead out of your foot for a while:rockon:. Ive mine over a year and its paid for itself when im commuting to work and back

for anyone interested, i put the tape just incase the sunlight buggered up the chip:

from the outside they are identical apart from the stickers. i also noticed on the JAM ecu the corners had been filed a bit for some reason?

You do know you can buy a load of those chips for peanuts and literally flash them. Bung them in a spare ECU and try it out.

You could make a fortune ;)

i did think of that but you need the facilities or a mate that has access to the equipment.
would bee too much hassle for me to do!

I have a mate that can do it at work. I'm really supprised no one has made an effort here to be honest.

Are the internals the same as standard, or is there a daughter board connected up?

There are DRS ECU's like these for Daihatsu's, some are standard thickness and different chips - others vary and seem to have an additional board installed.
