hi guys

about the athena metal head gasket 1.2mm from tm development, using the arp head bolts does anyone here know if the arp bolts should be torqued more tight?
i torqued mine to 83nm but it seems like there is oil seeping between the head and block.

i just recently built up a forged 4efte engine and did about 30km, the oil and water is not mixing so maybe i did something wrong

As for the water not mixing correctly check to see if you've not mixed up you're vac and water pipes on the inlet mani !

negative rep more like the torque settings for arp's is more clicky

and to answer your question is the oil seeping from the distributor side of the engine if so its the dizzy o ring thats more than likely leaking

thanks man, i did torque it to 60ft/lbs but does it matter to torque it more tighter when using a metal head gasket?

I am running Athena 1.2mm and ARP's and stood by the 60ft/lbs in 3 equal sequences as advised by ARP, but I havent ran my car yet, confident it will be fine though :)

which way does the athena metal head gasket fit?

i have done that but i noticed there is oil seeping out through the side of the head and block, i thought it was oil leaking from the tappid cover seal but it's not, could it be i put the head gasket on the wrong way?

the way i put it on is there is a small hole on the block and when i layed down the metal head gasket i made sure that small hole on the block lines up with the head gasket so im really not sure if its the right way

Thats 100% correct, the head gasket can go only one way on the block.
You have to make sure that both surface were flat, metal HG dont seal well if you have uneven surface.
Did you skim the engine block and head?
Also have a proper look where its leaking oil.
A picture would help understand the issue much better.
