98 Toyota Starlet Glanza V, reduced to £3000, offers!!!!!

This car was imported in September 2009. I purchased this car in October 2009 from a Japanese import specialist in Northern Ireland. The car attracted me due to the low mileage (34,136miles), immaculate condition and late 1998 specification with the optional factory extras such as mid rear boot “duck” spoiler and front and rear bumper spoiler/splitter. The car had a full service included in the sale and also came fitted with turbo timer, privacy film on the three rear windows and carbon bonnet vent. A rear fog light has been fitted to the rear bumper to comply with UK legislation. The speedometer face has been changed to read in miles per hour but the trip and odometer still run in km’s. The Glanza V logos on the front bumper and rear quarter panels of the car had been removed prior to import.
The car has only been used at weekends and is garaged year round. In one and a half years of ownership I have only put around 10,000kms on it. I use a second car during the week. The car is totally original and took me some time to find a Glanza V in this condition and in standard unmolested trim. The car receives weekly cleaning, waxing and polishing to keep the bodywork in immaculate condition. It has always been run on Super Unleaded fuel due to the higher octane fuel used in Japan. I believe that this could be one of the lowest mileage and cleanest Glanza V’s in the country.

- Standard 14” Toyota alloys with good tyres all round
- Few marks on rear bumper splitter as in photograph.
- Very small car park ding on bottom of passenger door (paint unaffected)
Engine / maintenance:
- Car was imported with a turbo timer fitted to allow correct cooling of the engine after journeys. As with many Japanese imports there was no prior history, but the condition of the car speaks for itself.
- Usual regular servicing – have receipts for parts, timing belt etc
- Recent service at 32,200 miles including:
- Gates timing belt, idler and tensioner pulley
- Oil and filter – Mobil 1 Super 10w 40w / Genuine Toyota oil filter used (with non return valve)
- Magnetic sump plug fitted
- Passenger side rear break calliper recently replaced (sourced from a local breakers yard) due to ceasing, front and rear brake pads also replaced at this time.
I have described the condition of the car as accurately as possible. Viewing is highly advised to appreciate the originality and condition of this car. Proof of insurance will be required prior to test drive. Overall the car is in excellent condition and it would be extremely difficult to find another like it. This is a reluctant sale but needs must as I cannot afford to run two cars and the amount of use does not justify the insurance, tax, serving and MOT costs.
