thanks guys. i will try to post up the time slips by weekend. i know the car could have done 11 seconds but didnt want to push it and brake out of my class. going home with a trophey and a timeslip is all the more sweeter

going for the 11 second time slip next time. really wanna squeeze the nitrous but i am afraid of it. lol

nice!

one question... how can you rev to 8k with stadnard ecu and EMB?

u know i was wondering when someone would ask that question.

my mechanic found a way to do it. he isnt telling anyone how he does it. he basically charges a hundred US dollars for the service. it has to do with switching some resistors in your ecu. he doesnt tell you which one he changes nor does he tell u what size resistor he uses. u just give him your ecu and ten minutes later your reving to 8100 rpm. :drive:

when u do it u will have to retune tho as engine completely leans out

in short its a trade secret. after hitting 8100 rpm me be we could add a fueling map for that certain rpm to compensate

lol i think i posted the first DIY for how to do this with quartz crystals back in like 2001-02

i had to sit there and look at all the crystals and calculate what Hz was necessary to get what RPM and then see what was available for that particular type and slot

i used a graphing calculator to extrapolate a whole bunch of rpms

you guys now got it all spoon fed to you and you still dont listen half the time

wow, just read through this again, is quite amusing alot of the people who doubt from the start, even though we are all told this is pretty common.

im not too clued up on tuning, as most of my knowledge comes from huge diesel engine, but its pretty similar, but different aswell, if that makes sense lol.

very good read anyways, and i wouldnt mind building up summit like this behind my fridge in the spare time lol.

top work anyways folks.
