4efe and 4efte head differences?

being from malta, you should have a lot of local experience to draw on...some very knowledgeable guys over there regarding ep82/91 builds

That's true, I've visited Zisco in Malta, seems to be a good crew local to you if you get stuck.

Just some info.
Some 4EFE and 5EFE heads have a more closed combustion chamber VS 4EFTE.
This will give a slightly higher compression ratio.

did a head job on my car abt a year ago i belive the replacement head was off a 4efe as it had an extra water passage where the inlet sits, i used the cams of my 4efte head and go it re-shimmed and also had it inspected by engineers who advised it will run perfectly, its been running 1.2bar with no issues what so ever
I hope you are still here. So I bought 4efte camshafts from Japan to replace them in a 4efe head pff a 1098 Corolla to go on a 4efte engine. I am using the 4efe block and replacing thermostat housing and oil relocation bracket. Putting a 3/4” pipe in the sump. Not sure if the oil strainer is the same between engines. If not ai will swap them.
I measured the cams that came from Japan and they are the exact same as my 4efe cams. Did I juste waste my money buying cams that supposed to be different?
