Hi to all,

My name is haseeb and live in Pakistan. Though modification is a very expensive preposition here, but the gud thing is that lots of Japanese engines and car parts are exported as scrap to our country, so i guess almost every part (slightly used) is easily availible.Anyway its a pleasure to here on this forum and hope to acquire and contribute lots of good info and help.

I recently bought a Daihatsu Charade and have installed a 4E-FE engine in it and am working on the paint job right now. My only question is how do i know whether my engine is an ep82 or 91

Welcome mate.

The 4e-fe is a normally aspirated engine. The 4e-fte is the turbocharged one.

When you look at the ecu,the 3 pin one is the ep91 and the two pin is ep82.

Welcome along mate, there are a few differences on the thermo housing sensors and the inlet manifold. Post a few pics of these areas and we might be able to sort it out.

Its a 50/50 chance anyway so worth a guess lol.
