There is no sort of imobiliser on the car that you dont know about an its failed???

I know its a shot in the dark, might be worth getting someone who deal's with car electrics out to look over the car, dont bother with a normall garage bloke you want a proper vehical electric tester...

Ive got a hornet alarm system, but i cant see the imoboliser from that being the problem.....cos the alarm dont work at all

But i have found a fuse in the fuse box in the engine bay that dont look so good.....its a 30a sqaure big fuse (says its for 'Main') on the engine fuse cover.......im guessing this is the problem....ill change it 2morrow and let you all no

As for connecting the 2 connectors back up to the altenator.....i havent yet no, the plug connector the wires are broke so i need to strip them back and reconnected them.

Cheers mate.....yeh i havent gone to see how much the fuses are yet due to fact i didnt notice it intill like 8pm tonight while towing my car home......so what im gonna do is test to see if that the problem buy taking the fuse from the horn, and sticking it in where the broken fuse is.....and then see if my ignition, windows, dials, alarm, clock work lol

But you deserve a rep for going to have a look at your own car to help me out mate

if that was blow the car should still start but just wont charge have you checked all the earth leads from the battery it sounds like maybe when you changed the battery you may of knocked a dodgy wire and its broke
check earth wires get a multimeter and check the resistance.
