Anniversary Year

Should we celebrate 30 years of boosted Starlettos?

Just putting this out there as I've been giving it a bit of thought.

This year will be the 30th anniversary of the EP71 Starlet (Oct), the 25th anniversary of the EP80 (Dec) and the 18th anniversary of the EP90 (already gone in Jan and nobody noticed lol) so should we celebrate this awesome event?

I'd thought about a commemorative decal to mark the occasion might be appropriate?

This sort of involves the whole EP community so it might be good to all sort it together

Please discuss,

Jay

Was thinking about this the other day.
Big few years coming up. next year then marks the 25th year of mk1 ep82 then?

If u have a decal in mind let me know as I've recently been dealing with a signage company and it would be worth pricing from them

What about a glossy book like the speed hunters ones - a portion of the book in standard, as they left the factory & then owners builds?

Whatever is done I need it to included a commemorative mug.

Something black with a ep82 outline in white on it and maybe my username on the other side

Obviously everyone could choose white or black mug and outline of ep82 or something lesser and there chosen username like Phil or something abit more crap like philm

That made me laugh although I know you are actually serious..

Was pretty much thinking the decal approach would be nice, something in an appropriate colour to suit each anniversary:

30th is pearl/diamond so EP70 owners have a white/pearlescent decal.
25th is silver so EP80's get a silver decal.
19th is bronze so EP90's would get a bronze decal (Jan is technically next year but still it would be better than a backdated 18th porcelain approach).

Or we could do the same colour related silliness with mugs?

Co-ordinating meets in the winter time would be cool but the venues would probably need to be indoors. It's doubtful Toyota themselves would want to be involved but you never know I guess, anyone have any contacts?

Any ideas on a style of decal?

What about an engraved silver plaque or is that too fanciful?

Thanks for the heads up Jay and the post on UKSO

Starbuck has been asked to incorporate all 3 of Jay's suggestions above into 1 sticker similar to the Dave B one, hope everyone is ok with this and Josh will probs do the printing

Meet wise in the UK we will be open to a central location and look to involve all in the community, i'll leave a link here for the UKSO thread and link to the FB page too
