what are they like to live with? looked around the owners forum, and most of the people on there seem to have them as 'cars they dont normally drive', just toys, when they say about expenses on running the car.

i manage on the starlet roughly 100kms to £10 on fuel. and some one there mentioned they got the same in their gt4. yet they seemed to not like the amount of fuel they use. personly dont see the problem with that, especially when i'm getting the same with a 1.3. lol

Owned a ST185 for a while. Dailydriven for 60 miles a day. Managed £16 a day taking it easy. Much more if I was in a hurry.

Yes she was rather attractive but we had to split up because she drank more than I did!

Being a jap man for some reason GT4's don't strike it for me.

Although i've had a mate have one and he loved it. A bit on fuel from what I remember.

i think the st205,s are ment to better than the st185,s my boss used to work on a few of them and said they were not really a nice car to work on. i mind him sayin that some suspenion parts were really dear to buy on the st205 for you could only get from the dealers, tho that was a few years back!

Would agree on that one mate.

I think Sally was boosting a little more than stock and had an aftermarket exhaust. Not slow but she didn't set my sex on fire...lol

lol.

the gen 6's have the super strut suspension dont they? same as the levin's? any one know if they are as prone to the figure 8's knocking, as there is nothing on the site about them,

I got nervous everytime I lifted the bonnet, they don't look handy to work at.

Always found myself driving along muttering "don't break, don't break, don't break..."

And I wasn't refering to the middle pedal :haha:

Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't rule another out but it would have to be a stunner and I'd have to have the money for the running costs available.

The reactions you got at the pumps, the presence it had on the road, the looks you got from passersby, I guess it all was too weird to me but I was so glad to get back into a starbo.

AlanD bought her from me, he could probably give you more detail on the owning and modding of one ;)

ma brother has a gt-4 RC st185 and ma other brother has a st185 widebody, both very nice cars although id say the RC is better, has differant gearing and a chargecooler. and also i think maybe a lsd.

I went from an EP82 to an ST205 lovely car. Comfortable, looked good, once i changed the downpipe and ran it at 1bar it was nice and quick.

However the SS suspension costs an arm and leg (touch wood the previous owner had to change it not me). The clutch took us nearly 3 days to change (by us i mean me and the owner of a rally prep company i was working with at the time lol).

Not too bad on juice though, i would have another but the problem is they arent as quick as their rivals.

I've also been looking at them monka. Nearly every1 I ask says they are slow in stock form. Obviously, when u up the boost its going to be more thirsty which I guess is why the modded ones are rarely daily drivers. The figs of 8's are prone to go and so do the clutches if driven hard. I know the 8's are pretty costly 2 and you have to replace the arm at the same time.
I've been reviewing a few cars and in the 2l turbo catagory the 200sx s13 seems to tick nearly all of my boxes for my next project car. I hope to run that as a daily driver once its as bullet proof as possible. :haha:
