Shampoo - Poorboys Slick 'n' Suds
I've used this for over a year and it is absolutely fantastic stuff, comes in a large bottle and has lasted me a year with a wash a week.
Can be purchased here: http://www.detailedobsession.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=21&products_id=28

Tar and Glue Remover - Poorboys Bug 'n' Tar Remover
Used several times and found it much better than any similar products Halfords sold.
Can be purchased here: http://www.detailedobsession.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=21&products_id=102

Wax - Collinite 476S

Seriously impressive wax, I applied 3 layers around 6 months ago and the car still beads like it was new every time. Although mine is garage if you add an extra layer every month or two to the wax it will come up like new every wash.
Can be purchased here: http://www.detailedobsession.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=28&products_id=55

Polish - ClearKote Vanilla Moose Glaze
Great polish, can be used on exterior plastics and glass too so you don't get that annoying crap all over your plastics.
Can be purchased here: http://www.detailedobsession.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=36&products_id=45

Engine Degreaser - Poorboys All Purpose Cleaner
This is a great product for degreasing and can also be diluted to different ratios to do different things. I use it 10:1 with water (10 parts water) if I am stripping wax for example, it's also great for cleaning sills/around badges/in arches etc.

One to avoid for sure is autoglym's engine de-greaser and tar remover. Absolutely hopeless at cleaning grease and oil from my rocker cover, wasn't impressed at all.

A good pre cleaner for removing tar as used by panel beaters and Meguiar's products seem to be one of the best around

^ Are you sure paint didn't help there? ;)

just a bit.. haha.. some stuff tho that diesel..really eats up old oil and grease. tried most degreasers and they were hopeless.. i used a drill with a wire brush head 2 get it gleaming before paint of course..

this man talks sense! collinite is absolutley amazing stuff it just depends how much your spending though as thats an expensive shopping list.
As for tar and glue just go to a car paint supplier and get a tin of panel wipe theyre about a fiver for 5ltrs and takes off everything.

edit: thats a cheap site youve linked there, either that or I'm thinking about the dodo juice wax.
