what fuel pump should i get? my walbro seems as though its on its last legs.

should i just get another walbro, a tuning developments pump or one of the cheaper £50 pumps off ebay?

if the more expensive pumps are only going to last a few thousand miles then would the ebay pumps be all that bad?

tuning developments, pretty much the same as the walbro units but cost less, and definately whine less! cant go wrong really, has a good guarantee and should outlast an ebay pump.

I've been using a tuning developments one for around 6 months now and it's silent especially since it capable of 225lph. Can't fault it for the price

I have a walbro fuel pump, it's been in around 3 years and has just started making some screeching noises on acceleration that I have not heard before could this mean mine is on its way out.

my suggestion if you seriously need to upgrade fuel pump would be the walbro 255LPH or Bosch 040 pumps

both are in tank, both easy to install and more than capable of feeding the amount fuel required for any starlet engine.

i prefer the bosch ones, only because i have never had or heard anything bad about them. Heard of a few walbro pumps giving problems over the years

cheers

thats the thing. my walbro has given up after what i would call very little use.

the whine doesnt bother me, the screechy sound i started to get before it died wasnt too good though :(

Walbro for £80quid you can haggle really, mine lasted over 7 years and its only just starting to fail, so i replaced with another. If you can afford the bit extra, then the BOSCH unit is very good value.
