whats the best way of cutting silicone hose without making it look an utter bastard? may sound like a stupid question but i dont want to fuck it up if i can help it. want to get a nice straight cut but without making the edge look like a mouse has been nibbling at it!

You can't beat a light saber for a good clean finish on any piping really.
Alternatively, if your local B&Q is out of stock, a stanley knife will do.

What about an electric saw, festool have one with a laser so you can line it up... or were you after a cheap option?

While we're on the subject of silicone hoses, where does everyone get theirs from? One of my bits is saturated in oil and looser than a prozzies snatch, so I need a new bit.

All of the shops round my way don't sell it, and if they do it's wallet rapeage of the highest order :(.

I need a bit to go on 2" piping, about 4"-5" long (Easy now:p)

i get venair hose from ebay. seems decent enough. only thing i found is their vacuum hosing gets a bit brittleish after about a month or so. its ok if you dont give it much shit but it will split easily if you want to remove it.
