Basicaly my renewal from sky is £840, same as last year even though i have anotger years no claims, tryed flux £1k+ wouldnt mind but im 26, 5yrs ncb, licence for 9yrs neva had a claim or accident the car has yet to be mapped but will be in the next few months and should be around 300hp. Who are other big power starlets using for cover and what sort of price are you getting?

I know its nothing compared to the 17/18 yearolds paying 2k+ tft but at 26 id expect to be paying far less as surley im low risk??

u tried geenlight mate? they are meana be good, 840 isnt too bad i dont think considering the ammount of mods u have....and just because u have another year NC doesnt mean it will go down, the price remaining the same is probably a result of increased insurance prices over the last year and other factors in the insurance industry as a whole. sorry to get technical :)

i'm with sky, and they always seem to be the best,

whatever i get qouted elsewhere they always end up beating.

your insurance probably stayed the same because of the increase in premium costs, mine was the same this yeah, i reached the magic age of 25 and had 4 years no claims, and (from memory) it actually went up £50 lol,

All insurers are getting a lot of stick at the moment about rising renewal prices. There has been an average 20% increase in rates across the board, you'd struggle to find anyone who has not seen a price increase.
I'm surprised your rate has stayed the same and has not risen to be honest.

Well tbh ollie it did raise but your guy stefan had a word and tbh did a great job with the under writer getting it aproved to stay the same and im very greatful to him, im happy with sky and recomend you to anyome i talk to about insurance, am just suprised at the cost of premiums in genral for over 25's on a 1.3 turbo even at a high level of tune. Ill be ringing back in the next day or two to take the renewal no one can even get close to your prices.

In theory his insurance should've been cheaper then the previous year - he become older and more experienced driver and had no claims - please let those who HAD accidents as their fault PAY 10 times more for the insurance, otherwise everyone else must pay for those idiots who drink drive or can't drive in the winter!

"in theory" yes it should decrease but in reality it doesnt always work like that. other costs in the industry and generally in the economy have increased so ultimately this is reflected in the increase of the premiums. also for all we know there could have been an unusual rise in thefts/crashes for starlets over the last year which raises the premiums across the board; unfair i know seeming as not everyone who has a starlet crashes, but the insurance industry does like to make generalised decisions about the people who drive these cars :( your best of ringing around to get quotes but as mentioned sky are usually pretty good for the starlets, thats who im currently with.

All that other costs..... I call this more profits in their pockets! We all heard that when the banks went bankrupts and asked the government for £90 bln help and a year after they paid £9 bln in bonuses for their managers!
