For sale: Blitz SS Blowoff Valve

Item Condition: Condition of the item its self is very good; few scrapes and scratches but overall very clean.

The problem with it is that it dumps, but nowhere near as loud as it should. I think this is due to the internal brass piston which has become worn. As a result I am selling this for cheap in the hope someone can either fix it and get it working like it should (replace the brass piston and spring - sent BlitzUK an email asking how much they are) or possibly use it for spares (the adapter alone is about £20, could use the trumpet etc).

I have the same problem with mine as its just making a kinda compreson surging noise and then a little woosh if thats whats happening to yours mate?

Same with mine mate. Didnt think i would get this with a Blitz product, considering these go for about £200....

Yeah when it was fitted it would a little "sigh" sorta of noise, a pathetic little woosh. I did get it working for about a day and it would make the loud whip-crack sound which was lovely but then it stopped.

My brother paid £85 for it from a trader off here, got it and fitted it. Called me up and said it wasn't working, so I said its probably because he needs to adjust it. So a few weeks later he comes home from uni, we adjust it. Still nothing. Speak to the trader, he suggests taking it apart and cleaning it. Nothing. Bought a new spring. Nothing. Tried a whole host of different things, and you guessed it - NOTHING! lol

Biggest waste of £85 ever!

Yeah it does sound nice! Wish I could get it working tbh. Somebody might want it for the adapter or trumpet though; make me an offer I just wanna get shot of it!

yea i read it, would give me something to tinker with 4 a while. Does seem strange why it doesnt dump properly, probably is the piston seizing or something

Its not the piston seizing mate; I've got the thing sitting on my desk right now and it moves freely, no resistance whatsoever. But if I push the piston up and put my finger over the vac feed it will freely return to its normal position - it should create a vacuum but like I said, the brass piston is scored so must not be creating a seal. You could buy it minus the trumpet ifya like!
