bit ignorent when it comes to this..but i have pretty much a standard engine..what would be the benifit if any if i bought some aftermarket cams???

Std cams are fine to 200bhp, over that, with a bigger turbo you will see better gains with more duration

cams are really required for bigger turbos as you will be driving higher up the rev range. Your talking things like forgies to come first.

Well you forget 1 think, why do most people think just get more duration, then you are ok.You need more lift...

well.. it depends all on ur application, remember to fit the cams ull need to get the head out.. u may want to consider the amount of duration & lift based on drag or circuit etc.. ie where u want the powerband.. then u see according to the lift if ur valves also need an upgrade.. then finally u end u needing to do the full monty.. including shimming p n p, etc the works basically...

Because the camshafts are IN the head...

Lol you only need to take of valve cover,to change cams, not head.

unless your changing valve springs -retainers or shimming up r dwn the head

well the stock lift is 7.3mm

as for duration i have no idea
