Car not letting hks fcd work with car !! (even tho the fcd itself definetly works)

It wont actually matter if the engine is running lean, fuel cut only operates by the amount of boost there is and is nothing to do with how much fuel is going in.

I would check the connections at the ECU and make sure the signal is getting right into the unit.

ye i didnt fink itd be that (not getting enuff fuel) but the guy sed evryfing is goin to the ecu fine he rekuns he jus sed it mus b the ecu but i dno, im gna c him agen friday see what he checked again nd ask him if it cud b map sensor or sumet,

hee needs to check the whole wiring from the ecu c if its all intact is only fing he cud make sure to be certain then if not ill just get ecu but its drivin me mad atm cuz i want it sorted

my cars aparently got forged pistons, engine had full rebuild with uprated parts the owner sez can take ove 300bhp fine but thers no proof thats its forged anyway of telling other then stripping the engine?

get this one mate it comes with the fuel rail adapter aswell, u need a fuel pressure reg if u running a fcd guy on here blew his glanza running standard internals with a TD05 turbo and an hks fcd no fuel pressure reg now he off road saving pennies to rebuild his engine

Mate I have and FPR for sale, bought of Tuning Developments, but never used it. It has no gauge/rail adapter and a few clips are missing, but it's yours for £20 posted[signed for]. I paid £65 for it mate. Absolutely brand new, you can get all the missing parts pretty cheap, and you only need the gauge for tuning, which your tuner will put on during the setting up.

I have a thread for sale, put it months ago, but had no interest, so dropping the price as really need to clear the garage now.

i have the ebay fpr! and tbh its great for the money! but im a tight arse! just dont buy the cheapest fuel rail adapter as i bought a cheap one and when i hit 4000rpm fuel used to fly outta it! haha!

I had the same problem with hitting fuel cut mate. Low boost or high boost, car also felt quite laggy. Changed map sensor and tps still same. But then I changed the actuator to a hks one and problem solved, boost all the way to redline now without hitting fuel cut. The spring in my actuator (old one) was very weak so I think it wasn't holding the waste gate shut properly and letting the pressurised air escape but kept the turbo spooling until it hit fuel cut.

Yea I see what ya mean. But I've got a fcd fitted aswel and set by a tuning company however I still hit fuel cut a lot until I changed actuator.

Just my two cents

nyc 1 m8, the blokes ordered me a map sensor nw cumin from scotland ill try that friday if not ill get an hks actuator cheers m8

ye will do m8 ive got both on the way nw map sensor and just bought hks actuator its gota b 1 of them,
will be getting done friday so will let yaz no then nyc 1 snuglet anyway,

i was told i had a weak actuator by the guy i no who duz mine, thats prob y my boost gauge doesnt read proply hopefully kill 2 birds with 1 stone nw, am buzzin !!

what adapter did u have to get that workd ? iz it onm ebay? cuz im gna get the ebay fpr cuz its exact same as the normal 1 just need to no what adapter to get.

Yes Fixd it!! Was the power wire from ecu to fcd was duff, bloke fwnd it nd put new wire in, e sed it cudnt b an actuator cuz it's the electrics causing prob nd e wiz ryt lol

Yea I noticed the difference mate as it hold boost a lot better. But you gotta set it up correctly (to the right boost u want) otherwise you will keep hitting fuel cut or risk blowing your engine up. The boost and fuelling are relative so if you raise the boost you have to increase your flow rate to suit or you will run really lean and start detonating badly.
