This morning my car took awhile to warm up and after a 5 minuets stop to get fuel it took ages to rise only until I stopped it began to raise us this because of the cold wether and cause its sucking in colder air?? Either that could be a thermostat I suppose

If the needle is in the middle when the car is running and stationary and the needle drops when you start moving thats usually a sign that the thermostat is stuck open.

The stock gauge only drops from the middle when water temp is down about 20 degrees, mine did the same with and without turbo water lines until I replaced the stat.

Did that fix the problem? I mean It just started today when I hit bad cold weather.. Strange. It does it rarely I mean tonight on a 3 hour journey it did it twice.. So not sure. It's done it before but stopped for ages!

I think a new stat is about a fiver, only takes 15 minutes to fit and you can refill the system and know you have the correct amount of anti freeze in for winter.

Like its fucking baltic outside and they say its going to get worse, why would you want heaters that might not blow hot air lol.

Replaced it today just bashed a smaller socket on it. Replaced it and it's working fine. Yeah very common by the sound of it.
