Jay Admin Nov 20, 2008 #3 Hey mate, stock compression ratio on the 4EFTE is 8.2:1 I can remember a rumour that the mk1's had a slightly higher compression but I have no concrete evidence to back this up. Cheers, Jay

(the ones with the silver timing belt cover) we measured it on several engines & found them all to be between 8.3:1 & 8.34:1 kon
