how can i do it after boosting hard as you cant take rad cap off when its still hot?

Well we managed it, there wasnt much coolant in there when our hg went so it was ok to open :p. i think Nick had some type of Syringe which sucked abit out and mixed with the stuff and you await it to turn diff colour.

thats what i bought.

needs to be done straight after boosting.

taking the rad cap of when hot is not much of a problem, prividing your very careful, it is possible to do it without coming to harm

That is what i have

Bluepoint one. My rad is still fairly full though, but i suppose after boosting it wont be!. Every time ive tried to open it when its warm, it goes everywhere!!

ill do another test today, and see what happens now.

sorry if i worded it wrong..
Mine will chuck a bit out, when you open the rad cap, you can see the level, but its not where it should be, every morning i top it up from the overflow and drive, and its fine.

if nothing comes up ill get a new rad cap first, new thermo, and new rad.

My block warped both times my headgasket went, had that skimmed nd didnt have the problem again untill the headgeasket really let go, probably down to the head lifting from the block due to the headbolts that are used in this engine being very small for high boost applications.

how did you check the block then? with the proper tool?
