i'm curious as to how much boost u can get out of a ct9 hybrid, and how u go about getting the most out of it, i know there are alot of pros on here and i want their thoughts

i would have thought 1.2 is fine put can be pused to 1.4 but not sure how long for at a time?

the tong G Spec is warranted to 1.2bar that's there "safe" level but 1.4 can be had with out to much bother... other hybrids run 1.3 to get high figures so as above 1.2-1.4bar

obviously you need full supporting fueling and air mods and an ecu to run those levels safely.

From my point of view for a oem ct9 at 1bar will be safe,1,1 may be ok for a short period. Over this you just blown very hot air and you really dont need it.

with a Tong Hybrid what is the highest boost you can go but remain safe for standard internals? taking consideration that it will be fuelled well too!

from looking at post on here the amount of boost varies between 1bar and 1.4 bar but you have to remember every car is diffrent so what is good for someones might not be good for yours

i know alex! Im planning to run around 0.95bar not more than 1 bar, think thats a fine safe point! More inputs are welcome......

1.2 bar is what the tong hybrids are warrented for.most people runnin hybrids dont really go any further than 1.2.

mine is fine on 1.2 bar ;)

How many miles did your engine cover before going to 1.2 bar?
How many miles have you done with 1.2 bar setting so far?
What fueling/management are you running?

Just some more questions, curious because I'm planning to try and run a hybrid on some higher boost level when I get my hybrid :)

how much can u get out of the ct9 hybrid on stock internals, lets say almost stock, all i've got is an air filter ported to the front, an fpr and i think the car has bigger injectors

but im asking when taking standard internals into equation!

Hi mate, 1bar on standard intenals on ct9 should be fine, most people do not runover 220-240 bhp on standard internals, some people have run higher figures without anything happening but everyones engine works differently :)

I wouldn't run a stock CT9 above 1 bar, at all. Besides, the question was about a hybrid CT9. ;)

td12 is good for more though
Any gains a CT12 has over a CT9 wouldn't be worth the ballache of trying to fit it as they're not a direct bolt on.

Chris found that the hybrids need flipping heaps of boost substancially out perform there ct9 counterparts! 18psi or thereabouts and his flew @that.

i think a good charge cooler and hybrid ct9 @big boost would be epic, but i havent the money to try that! :(
