ep85 Parts HELP

Ok hi everyone First post
Just bought a ep85 4wd starlet, my mechanic had told me the car needed wheel bearings and 2 drive flanges up front, on further inspection the whole front right side hub needs to be changed. Im in Barbados, he has been looking around locally but no luck finding the hub, bearings or flanges at any local part shops so far. The thing is we have endless ep82s here so I was wondering in the front hubs are not interchangeable or the front wheel bearings and drive flanges, also saw that it has a solid axle rear end, any other toyotas like ae86 kp61 or ke70 that happen to share same rear wheel bearings? does any one know, please let me know thanks

you can order from toyota if there is a toyota shop near you, if not the front hubs are the same as a gt, just smaller caliper set up!

There's a few EP85 owners on the site that may be able to advise you better but if you reach a dead end PM me your chassis number and I can try to advise on the part numbers.

Cheers,

Jay

85`s share the same hubs and wheel bearings to 82`s. The only thing worth checking is the diameter of the flange ring that the brake disc sits around if you intend to change the complete hub.

There are 2 different sizes, 54mm and 55mm. Make sure you get the same or you might have to take a bit of the inside diameter off your brake disc to get it back on.

If u have a load of ep82's about you might aswell get the whole front hub and brake set up and swap it all over, with the back bearings take it apart inspect and measure them up and ask toyota or a bearing company

The rear axle is physically identical to the twin cam Corolla rwd axle. Might be worth having a look there if you can mate.

Still no rear wheel beaqrings yet, which twin cam do you mean the ae86 if you do i'm a ae86 guru as i've had them as my main cars for a few years now, I was saying the rear axle looks similar but they are alot of axle variants to these toyota solid axle rear ends as i have discovered. Which ae86 rear would you say its identical to the early model zenki or late model kouki as those 2 carry very different axles let me know, I'm guessing kouki, I may need to just pull the axles to see what they look like.

I dont know that mate, AE86`s are not my thing, but had a look under one once and noticed similarities.

A few lads on here have the Toyota EPC, and might be able to get a part number for the 85 bearings, then it could be cross referenced to other Toyota parts.
