Well ive had the integra for around 14 months now and i'm thinking its time for a change even though i have loved every minute of ownership :)

Ive not done a thing too it despite my urges to do so but i'm thinking its about time i got a new project underway... although im sorry to say im staying with honda, I have found a nice ek9 shell which aparently i have first dibs on when the guy comes back from holiday :)

it comes with everything apart from an engine and unfortunetly the recaro's but i think he still has them so i might do a bit of bartering for them.. So the integra is going up for sale and hopefully this will be my new toy...

It was this or an EP3 but i prefer the look and rarity of the EK9 :)

Oh yeah and the plan for it??... K20 the bitch :) will fly once done. I was considering this to the teg a year a go but the price and availability of parts for the conversion ha become alot more attractive lately!

So fingers crossed the shell will be mine, if not well i dunno what im going to do lol.

nice matey :) yeah cant see much point in putting a k20 in a jdm itr as the car will never feel the same and they are pretty special cars out the box, well balanced etc.. not the mention the b18c6 is an awesome engine

what colour is it?

I cant speak from experience but i know a couple of guys who run K20 in there integra's for track work and prefer it over the B18, aparently it doesnt upset the balance too much, nothing that a geo setup cant solve.

The B18 is a fabulous engine, nice and raw, but i just like the tuneability of the K20, the gains that thing gets from simple bolt-ons is crazy.

And to answer your question its champ white, i wouldnt get an ITR or EK9 in any other colour :)

K20's are mighty impressive alright. My next car is likely to be a K24 powered accord with the k20a head swap and a hondata, simple boltons and a retune and the power potential is huge, should be a pretty sweet daily driver.

Who ever said EK's are light needs a lesson though, EK's are *fat* in comparison to EG's or Starlets/Corollas etc

there not exactlly heavy though.. anything is heavy compared to a starlet mate lol.

They weigh in at just over 1000kg i believe and are around 200kg lighter than an ep3.

sounds like an awesome project, should go very well when done :)

x2 EP3 are common as muck, i've only seen one ek9 around here apart from mine, and i've only seen that about twice.

how much you reckon you can do the swap for?

EK9 weighs 1050KG FATMAN. Which is the same weight as an EG and UK CRX. EK4's weigh more.

Ive been seriously contemplating a K20a swap to mine, love the B18 but the K20a(JDM version) 220BHP stock with basic bolt ons + tune will give 240BHP in most cases whilst the B18 with bolt ons + tune is around 210BHP.. Stock engine, 240BHP per tonne(circa) great track + everyday motor. Not only that you get a 6 speed :)

Oh and the K20 + box is actually around 10KG lighter then the B18. As far as upsetting handling you just have to position the engine correctly for weight distribution.

PS EK9 are VERY rare in UK. I never ever see them, even up Lakeside you hardly ever seen em. I think ive seen 1 other?

The swap can be done for around £5K with necessary parts, could go £6K+ with extras.
