first car: toyota starlet turbo

I know it's not the wisest thing to buy a starlet turbo for a first car but I did and it's a really really really nic car. I actually bought it from here. And it's got a few problems but it's putting a smile on my face everytime I drive her. It's a bit loud though and not a motorway car I feel but I'm dropping my work mates off for free just to drive her more. Second and third gear is awesome. There's picks on it here somewhere but I'll put some on tomoz. I just wanted to express how nice this car is wow. Glanza v 96.

Just be extra careful this time of year if your a novice driver.

How did you afford to insure one? Glanzas are notoriously hard to insure at the best of times!?

Hell of a first car choice buddy, I'd bet you are enjoying it no end. :drive:

As already said, take it easy till you find the limits, especially with the winter about to kick in.

Enjoy the site,

I give her an oil change yesterday. Took me 2hrs getting the filter off. End up putting a screwdriver through it. Oil was low and very black. Poor thing sounds a lot better now. Need to bleed the brakes and change the spark plugs, gearbox oil and tighten the squeaky fan belt. The previous owner has disconnected the AC but hasn't bothered to take out all the internals there's free pipes about the radiator and under the oil filter: that section needs coming out too. Just found a tiny slit in the exhaust pipe: leaking water slightly I think I did that. Future plans don't know yet but immediately I'm trying not to crash ha. This car is too nice.

Pictures of oil, oil filter, exhaust white smoke, and my brothers hand after trying to unscrew oil filter. My forearm is hurting too.

Welcome along, keep an eye on the coolant leak, can easily cause a head gasket failure on these cars.

Raining bad ,my mate got a Seat Leon coupra 04 1.8 turbo mapped ex cop car fast and very quite. Hit in to back of him nothing happened to his car my fog and signal are working but smashed and left passenger side wing got a dint but not pushed back. Bonnet saved. A lot learned at a very small cost. Thankfully. Love this car man. Anyway got the parts please I can buy. And I want standard exhaust this bastard is too LOUD!!! and too low can't even get my fist under the pipe and floor.
