Going on the fault codes (clicky) looks like 42 relates to the speed signal from the instrument cluster to the ECU. The instrument cluster works out the speed from the speedo cable attached to the gearbox so if that's working fine (speedo is working so it should be) you might have to get the multimeter out..

Unless you are reading the code back to front (24?) but I'll trust your judgement more than mine lol.

Ye it's 42 all right!! Ye the speedo works grand, if that's the problem, how can that be fixed, thanks?

Could just be a bad connection or the wire could be broken. You would need to trace it and inspect unfortunately.

this happens approx when you hit over 60kmph at no given time ... the reason as jay very well said is 99.9% a broken wire between the cluster and the ecu.... simplest thing to do.. is have a look near ur ecu to see if a wire is damaged... if not check for continuity betweeen the 2 connections from the cluster to the ecu :)
