Fog Light Tell Tale

Hey guys and gals,

Got the starship MOT'd last week, cut a long story short, the fog lamp wasnt working and they also said the tell tale wasnt working (the light to tell you the fogs are on) . Ive now fixed the foglight, but cant see no tell tale light, thinking about it i dont think it ever had one in the first place which is why its not working. Wondered what input you guys mite have on this, maybe someones come across this themselves??

The JDM models never had a rear foglamp so there is no indicator light installed. Common practice is to use a illuminated switch which will light when the lamp is on.

Can you get illuminated fog switches that fit into the original instrument panel, bottom right of the steering wheel??

Use a universal one from a motor factors or Halfords. The plastic blanking plates next to the front foglamp switch can then be drilled to mount it neatly.

the tell tale light for my foglights is so bright, its genuinely brighter than the interior light.

i mean, wtf?

Only failed for the first time since ive had it in 3 and a half yrs. Previous testers never picked up on this issue tho, which i thought was kinda weird.
Guess some places are stricter than others!!
