Hi there I lookin to go forged I just wonderin do I by a forged engine for the traders like tm its a bit of money or if I rebuild my engine wot wood I need or is there a link to help I tried lookin but could not see anything.
I no I need pistons.rods.Headgastet.headbolt But wot else is it

you would need your head skimmed, crack tested, block given to an engineer to look over it, e.g crank and bores to makes sure there both not worn/scored damaged and needs over sized parts, new water pump, new oil pump, full engine gasket kit, new head bolts, might aswell go arp mains aswell.. oil presure switch, just re-new everything...

if you dont know what your doin just take it to dave and get him to do it for ya pal - he is good and for what extra an engine from him costs is worth it in your time and effort etc.....

ehh your gonna need a set of bearings too mate..

why you forging?? upping boost?? changing turbo setup??

if any of the above then your gonna need air/fuel management, eg: fcd + fpr OR a decent ecu, injectors then it needs to be mapped... and so on.

you can get a bottom end, machined and built for £300

the rest of the costs involved is mainly parts.

then all you need to do is add the head and sump and ancillarys and fit it.

common sense will also help greatly, aswell as reading and writing :)
