Glanza/sunny gti-r engine

I am in prgress of buying a starlet turbo shell and just wundering if a sunny engine will fit in there and go on ok??

Any news will be good and if anyone has any engine for cheap i will snap them up.

i imagine it will be a custom job as with most engine swaps. will need custom mounts and a custom wiring loom. hasnt been done before as far as i am aware. dont know what the dimensions are of the sr20det compared to a 4efte or even the 3sgte that a few people have shoehorned into the little ep's

i mean am a vw man myself but my mums bf son's got a glanza v and want a part of what he has lool so am buying a shell just tranna find a suitable engine if any1 can help.

I hav a gtir and u hav to rember its 4wheel drive and looking at the glanza bay to the size of the gtir lump i dnt think it wud fit ! Bt then again u nevr no ;-)

No tio be fair i am probably just going to buy a forged engine of ebay for 2000 that'll go straight in no hassle and then put my hybrid turbo on it to be honest.

Having worked on a Pulsar GTIR I wouldn't recommend it. You'd ruin a reliable Toyota with behaviour like that lol.

I'd stick with what works mate.

i suppose anything can be done with enough money and time, i seen a ford fiesta at knockhill on sunday running and evo engine and cossie 4wd system

Can think of alot better 2.0l pal, 3sgte would have been best bet

if you want to be adventurous do a 3sgte 4wd conversion or 4g63 4wd conversion, sr20, that ish is for the birds

if you are going to run the 4WD system then I wouldn't bother with the Pulsar system, will last 5 miutes! 3SGTE FTW!
The SR20DE FWD Is a good engine but by the time you have spent £££££ getting half decent power out of it you might aswell just tune the shizzle out of the 4EFTE lol
