Just a quick query mate, is that the actual position you were in when you and the third party crashed head on, i'm just wondering why part rear end of the micra is on the grass verge. Seems like he went onto the grass and then try to get back onto the road.

resultant forces mate, they couldnt have met perfectly head on. so micra from the left lane, fiesta in the left lane and they end up with there tails out the opposite direction.
notice the fiesta looks like its coming from a strange direction too!

Been in a couple of head on smashes (never been me driving thank god) but you would be surprised how far back or to the side a car bounces when made to stop suddenly.

My mates car I was in when we hit a lorry at quite a low speed, had near as much rear end damage from a tree we bounced back into, was about 4 meters clearence from were we actually hit.

Anyway, hope u recover soon mate!

I just suffered fractured ankle, damaged lower spine, 2 cracked ribs, swollen chest whiplash and loads of cuts and bruises.

LOL "I JUST SUFFERED"

Sounds fair bad to me mate, nasty seatbelt damage aswell. My sister was in a head on crash not long ago and the mess the seatbelt made of her was unreal, scary what would happen without one

Just as well he wasn't driving a HGV although you were still injured quite badly. That must have been a fair whack for the set belt to cause that mark.

Ouch!

Lucky there, what speed where you doing when it happned?
I had a side impact in my leon at around 50mph, side airbag was useless and so was the seat belt.
Asume it be much worser ina GT

All the best with recovery

Im guessing hes got it pretty much spot on as we were travelling normal in our lane.

We were travelling about 30-35mph but when we collided i reckon i managed to get us down to about 20-25mph but his car seemed to just remain at the same speed.

Also 4 months ago i had a side impact in a punto but that time it was my m8 being a TWAT on an island in the wet and we span out an hit a lampost at about 50-70mph sideways, that 1 the seat belt was useless the window stopped me and i had stitches on my ear.

Yer i have got this week off to rest/recover.

Also...

Just found out im getting a coutesy car 08 plate Honda Jazz so im just reading up on them and they seem to be really good on fuel consumption and pretty spacious.

But doubt il be able to drive for abit anyway as i cant drive the GT because i can't press the clutch with my ankle so im not in no rush to get it.
