Yep, google has updated there homepage with: Tsunami Alert for New Zealand, the Philippines, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Hawaii, and others. Waves expected over the next few hours, caused by 8.9 earthquake in Japan.

Indonesia says a tsunami has been detected in the north east of the country, but it's only half-a-metre high. Too early to say if damage has been caused.

Doesnt look good at all for any country around the Pacific.

Some of the pictures on the news are astonishing. Things will only get worse as the waves start to hit land. Just shows you the power of mother nature and how powerless we are when things like this strike.

Its terrible what happened but its always going to happen because of the location Japan is on the ring of fire. It took only 12 minutes for it to register on richter scales here. As for 2012 the Mayans never said the world was going to end its just the end of their calender done by the stars ie. the zodiac and after 2012 solstice its just another stage of the zodiac. The moon is at a stage now called a super moon its when its closest to the earth which will cause seismic activity on earth it alway has through the years has when its at this point. The moon has a serious effect on the earth a lot of people dont even realize.

What i didnt realise is my dad is currently in the Philippines cant get hold of him just hope that the effect of the quake has not caused him any damage. Its not that far from Japan and these Tsunamis are huge and can cause damage 1000s of miles from the epicentre.
