HID hi/low problems

fited h4 hids in my car yesterday and the full beams worked when first fitted and now they dont. anyone ever have a problem like this? also tryed another brand new kit and the same thing again? dims work perfect but when i put on the full they go off and i need to turn off the lights and on again to get them on again? any ideas? im thinking its the car as we put a full new kit in

i had the same problem, try turning your car on (running i mean) before you turn your lights on, worked for me

yup done that dude its tempermental lol worked for 4 r 5 flashes and stoped again now iv only dims

anyone else any info? the highs wont work atal now only goes off when i try to put them on

switched earth

there's something about the headlight electrical schematics on these cars having a switched earth, not a switched live (positive) & this is the root problem here, usually resolved by plugging in relays to take care of it. pull up a forum search. i'm sure you'll find the discussion thread on this..

iv fitted a few of these kits now bud and never any problems, it worked 100% at 1st ya see and we fited a new kit and still same problem. anyways just got it sorted there now it was the origanal conector that goes into the standard bulbs, got a new one and they are 100% now hi/low works spot on
