my advise to you would be take it to a reputable tuners in your area....

in my opinion 42psi is way too high for standard boost ...i say around the 30psi would be right....

but at that if your not sure about going at the car yourself you should take it to a tuners....

doubt whether its a gas issue, cuz there are lots of starlets here and we get our gas from the same stations, there is even a starlet with a 3s engine that burns less than i do!!!

yeh, their meant to run on higher octane fuel. Taking it easy i get about 500km to a tank, raggsin it out i get about 350. Would be even lower if on normal unleaded.

well lets hope this thread helps the both of us out

have you tried doing a diagnostic test on the car, see what codes throw up, i had a faulty map sensor (code 31)

hope you get it sorted man, this consumption issue eats pockets as it did with mine :(

my consumption really went down hill after i got the BLitz ECU in, i know the thing is running very rich, petrol drips from the exhaust, but im hopping too go tdo4 shortly, which i will be getting a Sard FPR so hopefully this should help, though it isnt easy on the pocket.

i was under the impression that the stock 4EFTE Ecu can not be remapped/modified?

tbh honest it might be or i may be wrong but it all depends on the company that is doing the modification, it has something to do with AEM but i cannot confirm, but the ecu in another car has revved to 9000 but u need to be properly tuned to see that or have supporting mods

if my map sensor was bad this would lead to the excess burning, can someone elaborate more for me ?
