how can you tell a 5e?

hi guys i recently took delivery of a toyota paseo engine on the rocker cove it says 5efe however i thought on the block it should say 5e also i had a look and it says 4e? am guesing i havnt got the engine i asked for? can anyone clear it for me as am not sure if its a 5e or not

It is stamped on the block, there is a extended bit on the top face of the block to the right hand side, it will have 5e and the engine number stamped on it.

It will have 4E or 5E stamped on the righthand front corner of the block next to the engine number.

yh it says the engine code then 4e i think i have been had but it did have a 5efe engine cover i didnt think it would fit but am obviously wrong what should i do now? any suggestions?

The covers can be swapped between 4E and 5E. The block stamping doesn't lie.

Go chasing the seller immediately.

will do mate cheers for the advice if you know of a 5e going anywhere let me know mate am stranded with all the parts to forge a 5e but no 5e engine
