yea i heard about letting battery die etc. so too do that, when i get it just use it untill it dies? then charge it 100% the always run it down an dont charge unessasary?
so whats the rules etc of this jailbreak thing. do i still use i tunes? will my phone been out off warranty by doing this?
cheers
Jailbreaking just allows you to put unsigned apps onto the iphone. I've jailbroken mine a couple of times (unfortunately each OS update removes the jail break) and there are some interesting apps. Lots of hacking, network type apps that might be useful if you like to tinker but TBH the best apps are usually on the apple store anyway. Using iTunes is uneffected by having a jailbroken phone.
so, when jailbroken, you can still use i tunes, an app store etc as normal. an then all the free apps aswel?
is the jail break a hard process?
Yeah lol thats right mate, there's also a data usage calculator in the settings so if you have a usage limit you can check on that too! Like songs need to be around 30sec's long to work! lol. and yeah you can sync pictures/files to and from your iphone using itunes mate
thats exactly it , for the first couple of weeks this is the most important, after that its not as big a deal but it if your not planning on changing phone for a while keep at it and your battery will survive a couple of years. Also if you get your hands on a 1 piece wired charger as opposed to the socket/usb port/usb cable that come with most new smartphones as they dont provide as good a charge.
