What do people think of vf34s on a 4e as im thinking of going down that route?

vf34 for me is not a good deal... we have a lot of radar due to police politic to get monney and we have litle road and not long road...if there is one long road you will be sure that you can find a lot of radar and automatic radar...On a scooby i found the vf34 laggy meanwhile the power is very good at top end and it was on a 2.5 sti

what will be the difference ? td04 vs ihi vf35

well..whiteglanza shows what can be achieved with this turbo on a 5e...and it seems he could have gotten more from it as well

here's a vf35 on a 4e

if you have a lot of short roads, then the stock td04L or td04L hybrid may be better for you,,,

i dont think none of these turbos will spool as fast as the stock td04L.....though some maybe closer than others

I'm running a vf34 not to good down low but full boost 1.5 at the minute is 4600 maybe a tiny bit more, top end is very good pulls like a train once it gets going I like the setup. It slightly slips out of the powerband on gear changes but does'nt bother me though for what I use it for. Does'nt come in with a big kick I find it very gradual kinda deceiving you dont really notice your going quick until you look at the speedo.

i appreciate the baby td04L ,very friendly and good torque... i am not at the aim at bigger top end numbers due to the fact that i have small roads in my island

hey whiteglanza...i think i misinterpreted what you said...i thought u stop revving at 6000rpm on the dyno

do you know why there was the noticeable drop off on torque higher in the rev range?

it was a mixture of problems between the fueling system and the ignition system not allowing us to push the turbo to the max and meaning that we had to drop the power off further up the rev range

thanks whiteglanzav
because i saw from ted's dyno and a few subarus, that the vf35 pulls relatively good up top

i must admit, i really appreciated your project
