Sup Guys. Haven't been on here in ages!

I've Recently bought a new car, not a starlet but its awesome!

A Mazdaspeed RX8. I'm loving it, Rotary is awesome and so is RWD. Currently turning it into a track-street car bought some new RPF1's for her from Califonia

I still have the Glanza S its currently sat in storage. I'm September i took her to silverstone

Thats me catching a Rally spec Escort. over took it twice :haha:

This is how she sits at the moment as i'm stripping her back to standard

Why is it when i say to someone that i have an RX8 they always say about the cost of engine rebuilds its fine only got 40k on the clock still got another 40-50k left

we had one at work with 29k on it, a guy went out for a test drive about 10 mins n went bang lol. they have decided too scrap it lol

The engines can't be that bad surely? It must be poor maintenance or something, as what would the point be of designing an engine that is fucked after 50k and needs a full rebuild??!! Noone could afford that.

As Ive been told ''its all about the apex seals'' they dont last very long apparently??? who knows?

.......that and the oil cooler pipes spliting and pissing all your oil over the road Was a recall im pretty sure.

Have to admit, I have a serious soft spot for these. Engines are often a victim of mis-use and poor maintenace. If she hasn't had a set of coils yet, get them changed. It'll save you buying a cat in the near future. Have a look at Alan D's garage on here for some inspiration too.

You should hold on to the S till the snow has been and gone lol, RX8's don't ice skate too well!
