nah i didnt put the engine in my self mate.... im no mechanic... i can do quite a bit myself and do try and attempt as much as i can but a conversion like this is is behond even most mechanics knowlegde..... i did however gather alot of parts myself ringing places constantly throughout the build, getting parts i personally think would be best etc.... was on his case 24/7 checkin up on everthing... i went all the way to leeds from south london on 3 occasions just to see the car and how it was getting on... i wasnt sitting back and relaxing through none of it, believe you me, i showed a massive interest in the whole build project, if only i had the knowledge and experience i would of love to have done it myself without a shadow of a doubt..........

Dont worry dan (even though i know u dont really care about comments, but im sure u still feel if somebody wrote something about ur project.. i know i would if it was about mine).. thats y i say to u lads when we had the pics of the ott maltese show cars, y i didnt want to tollerate any form of discrimination towards them as i for one know how much time & effort some of those ppl put into their cars.. sure theyre not my style of doing things, but to each their own, if we all liked the same thing there wouldnt b choice in life ;)

criticisim comes in from all directions bro, some constructive the other its opposite.. whats important is that u are happy with ur ride & that ur enjoying the fruits of ur hard labour!

fuck what people say...thats what i think anyways,as long as your happy who cares?it was a bit gay for him to write ''waste of money'' as thats not the case,if he has of wrote lots of unusable power maybe he has a point because at say 300bhp in a fwd all them horses are not going to be put down due to fwd etc etc(without running slicks daily,huge traction control mods etc etc etc the list is too long)also the poor handling is a big factor in a starlet....but hey who cares?im doing the same with the civic but am looking for 300whp and i wont be bothered what anyone says! i picked the civic because the handling is fantastic already so its just straight forward engine work etc...i wouldnt let comments like that get to you which i hope you havent

poor handling isnt a factor though as ive got huge plans for chassis upragrades to enhance handling.......

and my quarter mile is 13.2 @108MPH and thats with spin all through 1st and 2nd and a bit of 3rd with no LSD on 175tires, so if they said to me its worthless as you cant put down the horses i would say back your a complete tit that doesnt have a clue ;)

But yeah im not bothered, i know what my car does and how it performs on these everyday roads and i'll does me proud for sure :) ANd i also know on what a basic set up im on in every sense, dam theres so much more to come, im just getting started!
