my car has been off the road for about a month and already it appears to have a mouse taking up residence in the engine bay????

any ideas on getting rid of the little bastard? got a trap under there now, but not holding out much hope tbh as they havnt caught any of the mice in my loft.

i cant believe its been such a short space of time and one has decided to get in there????

i've heard of them chewing up ignition leads
youll need to set the trap right on the edge to catch one , a bit of bacon rine makes it difficult for them

i had this Duncan, I took me ignition leads out just to be safe side as my glanza is stored over winter..
to actually stop them, traps and bait, maybe look into poison as well

no signs of problems on the one in my garage. had better check the one at my mums too, just to be sure!!!

just saw some wet crap on my gearbox that smelt slightly fishy, then saw the droppings!!!!

have a trap set with some jam on it. will see how it goes.

Put chocolate on the traps, the wee bastards cant leave that alone.

i tried that as my dad said that was good shit to use. the traps have been in my loft for almost a year and they havnt touched it. can see all the dropping around it, but not one has gone off or looked like they have touched it!!!!

Why not -) It's warm and confy out there so why not -))))))))
The best thing you can do is to get a cat out there with someone holding a cat and you starting the engine - as soon as you start the engine the mouse will run and as soon as the mouse will run the cat will spot it -)))) Not a lazy fat one.... I proper cat -)

You could also do it the old Russian way - get a wine cork and split it to many small pieces - not the tiny ones but the size of a circlip on the actuator, then fry it on the pan with loads of oil and some fatty piece of meat, better if plenty of fat, pork will do nicely any meat really but it must have loads of fat. SO once fried the cork pieces will smell very nice just like real meat and drop it all around the car and under the car - the mice will spot it and eat it -) but won't be able to digest it - so won't live very long afterwards -))))
