Apparently David Cameron is running the country now. He's got an emergency budget in place and students are to suffer the most:slap:. There goes no tuition fees then!!

About bloody time... And I never had any tuition fees, so I'm sure you'll survive. Think of it as a free lesson in how to budget effectively!

I'm not saying I can't survive, I've only got one year left so its not too bad. I just feel for people like my bro who has another 3 years left. I don't understand how Cameron expects to get jobs going again if he doesn't appreciate that now people who struggle financially and were going to go to uni to get a degree in order to get better jobs now find themselves struggling as they'll have to pay out near 2k a year. In a couple years time the number of gradutes is gonna fall pretty sharply I'd imagine. At least Gordon Brown focused his attention on a long term future for the UK by encouraging people to better themselves by going into further education through bursaries etc.

People in Scotland for sure. Did you see how they voted?? Its pretty much a no go zone for the Conservatives.

Missed a lot of the outcome of the election to be honest as Ive been up to my eyes with work. It is interesting though that he appears to be demonised in the media but a lot of people seem to have respect and a high opinion of him.

Its kind of tough when you dont live in a country to get a feel for the politics there especially when the media are so heavily and self admittedly biased.

I personally think Cameron will have a challenge on his hands winning over the views of the public/masses/etc, but, some of his policies do seem suited to my way of thinking, hence he got my cross.

Good luck to the man, he's got one hell of a task!

he's a toff.

if we join the euro we are screwed completely.. although apparently cameron doesnt want to, he almost definatly will cave in to pressure.

The bloke is full of false promises, all he ever did was tell people what they wanted to hear and put up pathetic childish billboards slating brown.

he wont last thats for sure.

Been following this on Sky over past few weeks or so. never thought you would see the Lib Dems & the Tories in bed together..It was the only option given how many seats each party won.

David Cameron made a very good speech a few days ago and made remarks about immigration, and the fact they want to get a "foot hold" on it. Good on him. We should follow suit here i think, Our borders are far to wide in this country...But then again that is Bertie & Blairs fault...

Edited for you!

I don't truly believe Labour had a firm grip on the economy anyway.

just because he wasnt perfect doesnt mean anyone else will do any better. its just my opinion. i think brown was getting to the end of his prime ministerial life either way, but think he could have got us out of recession and back on the straight and narrow quicker than any of the other parties.

if brown was all that bad then the overall majority would have been tory, labour weren't far behind so i think that shows the public still have some confidence in him.

stop reading the sun, its full of biased bollocks ;)
