unfortunately after this the oil pickup became blocked from poor servicing by previous owner, so a rebuild was due for the engine :( (seems to happen on every friggin car i own)

Looks awesome mate, I was looking at getting a defender for the winter, but as usual once winter time comes the price in 4x4 hikes up :(

they are super reliable, providing there serviced sort of reguarly.

my oil pickup got blocked from shitty oil the previous owner used and hadnt changed it for over 3 years, by the time i got it the damage was already done, so as with any car i own i was really unlucky.

the daihatsu diesels however i have never known to fail because of mechanical issues, thats one of the reasons they hold there value so much, the body rots before the engine gives out.

the older leaf sprung one is ther better off roader between the 2.

Nice! I love the trucks overseas from the us. I used to spend all my time in the mud until I spent too much money on my truck and now it sits in my garage unfinished
