 lol. but tbh, cars are like people.. and they will always communicate.. when something is already wrong or going wrong. the problem is usually the idiot between the seat and the steering wheel like i am sometimes..
you especially have no excuse if you have an array of gauges and engine management equipment or monitoring systems installed.. :D hehehe

I use to use Millars CVL when racing on a hot day. Changed to race fuel so never bother now.

I did how ever see a very dramatic effect on a mates car, he basically had far to much boost in, he had a full bottle of Millars CVL and a fair bit of Pro Boost, the car dynoed 270hp and drove like a bag of spanners, the next day he had her emptied of fuel and fresh Super Unleaded only in her and she dynoed 310hp.

Thats an extreme case due to the amount he put in though. That said I do believe there is a time and a place for boosters to be used.

Thanks again for all the replys. The continent ofcource will have various forms of super unleaded, but there may be occasions where i need to fill up and the only fuel available is normal unleaded. It is for these occasions that i would add some octane booster just as a precaution.

There are certain roads which i will be doing that are fantastic driving roads! and i will be having a spirited drive on these. Im just thinking octane booster will be a good way to protect my engine encase super isnt available. I have only ever used V-power so dont know how my car will react.

I get the feeling that many people on here do not reccomend the stuff, so what would u suggest? Do i just fill up with whatevers available and hope for the best???

Thanks again :)

Hey, in July i will be driving across Europe in my glanza. Now, my car has been mapped on v-power and its the only thing that i fill up with and when on the continent there will probably be occasions when the only fuel available will be normal unleaded.

Your not going to be driving through 3rd world countries, if you made a trip across Scotland would you need to carry 'octane booster' in the car? Keep a couple of fuel cans in the boot as suggested, for peace of mind if your that concerned.

When we went accross europe, a few cars we were with were misfirig due the the change in fuel doing something to the spark plugs not sure if this makes sense ? But might be worth taking a spare set.
