will it damage the car driving around with the light on then? oh i thought he could change it in about half an hour. he said it was straight forward and seeing he works in a jap garage down here i believed him x

yeh it is a straight forward job, just remove the cat/decat to give better access and fit a new one.

Thats presuming its the switch thats faulty, if its not faulty and its flashing for low oil pressure, your engine is very poorly.

if the oil light is on, and if there is a pressure problem, driving it with the light on will most likely damage it rly bad...so dont drive it mate untill u got the sorted.:holdit:

yeah but that would be because the oil when it cool down get ticker and the pressure go up so no bulb come on ,when oil get hot and get very thin the pressure falls down to a level that the bulb come on adding more oil as you did probably make it take longer to go on as there is more oil to heat bus as you were told the problem isnt in the level it would be in the pressure! So dont drive it like that or you will end up fucking up the turbo and the crank and cams if oil pressure is low

on another jap site they are saying that cause the light comes on intermittent that its the oil pump but the car is not losing any oil and the performance is not affected. ok oil switch being changed tomorrow so going to keep my fingers crossed!!

so your saying oil switch yeah?x

you said fuel pump not oil pump!!!
could possibly be oil pump, but if that stopped you would know about it.

I would try the oil switch first.

change the switch first, then go from there as oil pump is a more involved job.

you want to get rid of the aluminium hosing and replace it for silicone hosing?? or you want to get rip of the blue(im presuiming) joiners that are joining them together??
If its the latter, just measure the diameter of the pipework and get on ebay and order a meter of the stuff, and cut it to fit - job done :)
