Personally I absolutely love them; however they need to be looked after. I.e modding, practically everything you do mechanically requires a map tweek and as mentioned above, they do need engine rebuilds (think theyre around £3k for a very basic last I got quoted) plus they do drink oil, but if you're servicing them regularly, then its not a problem.
If you can find one thats had a recent rebuild and have compression results to prove then I'd go for it mate. I have a friend of mine who has one sitting on his drive and the water seals have gone, so needs a rebuilt basically, extremely tempted. lol. Youtube 'champagne test' and that will show you how to see if the water seals are gone on the engine
