For those who are interested this is my setup. I bought a second PCV valve from Toyota and using a Monster Motorsport catch can, this is how it looks...all hose attachments came with catch can kit.

so you used another stock 4efte from toyota! what will happen if i run the same setup as you but without the 2nd pcv? just asking

ic thnks mate! i will order another one before i fit the can, so the 2 nd one must be fitted in the same way as the normal one on the top cover, right?

i have read all the pages...:(

but i have one question and i am sure its a yes but here its goes:

does the pcv valve only open when there is a vacuum?

Thats the main reason why you need to gut the bastard if you do not want to hook it back to the inletmanifold right?

did you gut the pcv valve

I'm looking at putting a catch on my setup (standard but with FMIC). My PCV valve is bust around the top and is now letting oil out..not good!! If I buy a new valve and plumb this into the catch can, then gut the old one and put that between the catch can and the inlet manifold, will that be correct? I don't want to vent the catch can to atmosphere, it sounds illegal and surely it will smell? So many ways of doing the same thing!! All I want to do is eliminate/reduce the oil in the intercooler/inlet to increase engine life. I'm well confused!!

personnally i wouldn't gut the second PCV valve if ur keeping a closed system.....both of mine are original and fully working.

And what about the breather on the recirc valve (original plastic one on the EFi pipe)? How would this setup look/work?

Hi I am new to this forum but I would love to contribute a little experience of mine regarding OCC. I once mount it in a position where it is higher than the rocker cover and thus, the pipe to the OCC was going upward and sludge finds it hard to make its way to the OCC. Then I install it lower than the rocker cover and the sludge was filling the tank much more efficiently and air has no problem travelling upwards the pipe. I did mine this way, 2 crankcase ventilation valve going to one pipe via a T joint and then the output of the OCC to a T joint and 2 pipes into the throttle body. Is this ok?

dump valve leak

i av an ep82 runnin standard whilst cruise along holdin revs at bout 3000 my dump valve sounds like its leakin iv cleaned it ne suggestions contact me 07922809650

i broke my pcv valve when i replaced the headgasket last year and from then through a lack of lazyness i suppose to order one i just run with the pipe on inlet blocked off and the spring out of the pcv valve on rocker breathing into the atmosphere.
