Progress on my EP82

Hi I hae been reading the post about the Starlet making 208BHP on a std turbo. I must admit that sounds high but I used to have a Datsun 1200GX coupe in which I had a std series 4 rotary turbo motor. The motor was stock except for my uprated fuel pump and I used a Microtech MTX8 full management system and coil packs. I made 314BHP on srd motor and turbo which most also said would be impossible or a certain death sentance for the turbo and or motor. Well I used the car for almost a year as my daily driver and a broken gearbox put that to an end.
I have since purchased a EP82 Starlet and am currently fitting a Airsearch Turbo with .48 Pressure and .48 exhaust housing. Also fitting a FMI and fuel cut defender. I am hoping to run 1,2 bar boost with the std fuel pump and injectors. I will give figures and report as soon as I am done.

Before you start doing all that I would recomend a brake upgrade and tuning the suspension a bit. Doesnt help if you have a fast car that can't stop. The "safe" boost for standard internals seems to be 1bar, also don't know if your standard fuel pump will keep up at 1.2bar in our climate. But all sound like fun, how the drag/car scene coming along over there?

Drag scene in Bots

Well believe it or not its quite competitive even though there is nothing really that's legal. But not anything like SA for example. We are intending on putting a fast street car club together and then arrange outings to SA tracks and go and race over there.
P.S. We do a lot of off roading here and I can honestly tell you that Toyota Landcruiser is the way to go, the X5 is a nice car but if offroading is your scene then you cant go wrong with the toyota.
