Quick thermostat question??

Its a hard call that one, it still reduces air pressure at the back of the radiator as it pulls air away from there. That low pressure area helps the air move through the rad and cool. Its a hard thing to know when that pressure becomes equal as the bottom of the engine bay is open. Its nearly one for the aerodynamacists in the F1
teams that one lol.

F1 cars don't use fans lol. I have been told from a race engine builder that aslong as the vehicle is in motion and the cooling system is in tip top shape, the use of a fan is not necessary UNLESS the vehicle is stationary for any period of time, like in traffic. Which is why its used for production vehicles.

I was referring to the theory off whether the fan running when the car is travelling at speed would still create a negative pressure area behind the rad, that would be a job for a F1 aerodynamacist because they probably understand the created pressure areas better then most, not because the cars have fans lad!!
