Rad fan not coming on...?

Hey all.

Pretty sure my rad fan isnt coming on.

Ive recently had my AC removed and a Sard low temp thermostat fitted.

I assume the low temp stat would make the fan come on earlier would it not?

Any suggestions?
Cheers

believe it or not its due to you removing the air-con... on the piping for the air-con there is an electric block connector that needs to remain connected in order for the fan to work on the normal rad, have a look at the steel piping for this and just re connect the block connectors, you dont need to re-fit the piping or anything

If you leave the plug un bridged or disconnected it leaves the fan running permanently, not the other way around :)

Id check the wires and connectors on the rad fan.
Is the gauge in the car working ok?

Aircon was removed by Dave B so im sure its nothing to do with that.
Gauge in the car is working but its reading low cos i knocked it when fitting my indiglo's. Does the rad fan switch work on the position of the water temp needle?
If so this would explain my problem.
I'll double check connection on the rad fan.

If you have a low temp thermo installed, it will take longer for the rad fan to come on due to the temps not getting up.

If you have removed the A/C, if you didnt replace the sensor back into the loom in behind the passenger headlight, it will run constant. Unplug this if you want to check if your fan works.

Common sense prevails....
