rear engine conversion

as above im lookingfor some info good links etc for doing putting an engine in the boot,ive never seen it done in a starlet though

there was zep that had a rear engine. had an s14 subframe etc i believe

what other small hatches do people put engines in the back of.i just need a forum where a few of them have been done, was thinking of using an evo engine with a colt box and subframe.

best bet bud is probs an origional mini owners forum quite a few of them hav rear engine conv... usually to a busa engine or some other bike engine... theres one build on youtube i know of with a vw lupo.. using two engines one in the front the other in the back both vw v6's (or i think ther still vw) that thing flies cnt rememberr the link bt try searching for w12 lupo

ahh forgot about minis ill have a browse @ragz it was maragoni i believe thay did an mr2 aswell i think it was featured in banzai i shall have a look at that too. keep the ideas coming guys engine suggestions welcome also

Why not put the 4EFTE engine in the back?

You know what it looks like, have all the bits necessary to do it in the front of the car already and the loom and ecu with it.

You would just need to build a space frame in the rear to mount the thing onto and sort out the front for steering a bit.

You will be surprised, alot of being put evo lumps into colts!

People also put type r engines in vts's ect, iv been thinking about doing something mental lately so sale out these long summer evenings

i just have a chassis to play with and nothing else so looking for something with good power as standard and the evo engine has massive potential for the future if needed

talk to z-cars mate i know they do sum mental mini conversions like twin bike engines etc, they do other stuff like saxo conversions aswell. av a word with them if ya serious.
