yea it's a fog light but a red one and it's bolted mostly to the bottom of the back bumper i see some on the left and one on the right cause the lad had the exhaust through the front bumper at the side and then i saw one in the middle... I i think it looks kool jus wondering y it is there and what it's hooked up to whether park lights or brake lights

A rear foglamp is a legal requirement on these shores mate, they don't have them in Japan so we have to add them after import. There's a few neatly done versions but most of us here hate the look of them lol.

okay so then it's safe to say it's a light that stays on all the time, that doesn't work with the brake light it's hooked up to the park light or a separate switch?

It's a warning lamp used only when driving in fog:

It's usually run from a seperate switch and wired into the lighting system. Reduces the chance of other drivers ramming you off the road in a fogbank.

oh i see kool thanks, i saw it on the cars here, and my uncle who came back to guyana after 20yrs from the UK ranted and raved about his rear fog light which my cousin took off the mini to re-spray and never put back on so i wanted to know why he was so upset about it... that's a great help

cheers

It's sort of a red vinyl that's see through. It was like that when I bought the car so I'm not quite sure how it's wired in but I think it just that same way as the normal square fog light but just using the bulb holder and changed the lense to red. Hope this helps. Looks great though. Like it's standard :)

To be honest I've not got a clue. I think years ago I bought a repair kit for my standard lights on a different car and it was the same some of red see through vinyl. Try on eBay mate?
