Yeah I thought of that actually Dave... because its the threaded strut thats hitting the bottom eye mount isnt it?

Il give it a month or so see what happens

ive got bc's they will go a bit lower than that but the height youve got yours now is about right for the best handling

they don't go any lower than about 2 inch gap i found. i'm contemplating choppin some threads off so it sits lower. i want it just in the arch. safe

You can't just chop some threads off as that is the damper casing.
The main reason is because most Starlet coilovers are designed for the American Tercel, which is why the rear don't sit low enough on a Starlet as the Tercel have a longer damper as standard.

We had to redesign the complete rear suspension with the MeisterR Zeta-R Coilovers in order to give the right amount of height adjustments for the Starlet.
It isn't something you can retrofit if the specification isn't correct to begin with.

sowhy would tmd say you could chop some threads off? i'm unsure if its solid at the bottom or indeed its part of the damper reservoir. cheers

The damper is a seal unit... I wouldn't want to chop anything off to be honest.
Cutting a damper is just a bad idea as you no idea how it would affect the strength of the unit.

Dave when you say some off the tube, can you elaborate. At least a picture will help. Cause my car has settled on the coillover yet still a bit high.
