Rebuild After Years Of Abuse..

i bought this car off a lad who obviously doenst care very much bout his cars..engines internals are wrecked and gearbox is shagged..luckly i bought it cheap.goin 2 give this car a total makeover and will post up pictures of my progress.so far ive gave the car full complete valet and fitted a new bumper.

afraid not.. wen i took thw sump off it was a mess.. crank,bearings,main bearing,cylinder bore e.t.c ruined.. 2nd,3rd,4th gear engages but nothing happens.. ave new engine and gearbox on stanby

rebuild after years of abuse...

It Begins........

Right....i took out the radiator.. ive taken out the aircon and pump altogether and intact.(didnt cut any pipes)..took off the mani and turbo together(turbo oil feed and return pipe and water pipes)...i unbolted the power steering pump and put it out of the way.. "must say its a very easy car 2 work around"...... then i disconnected the wire loom(injector connectors,all earths,knock sensor e.t.c....) and all pipes including clutch pipe and water pipes for heating.. next i disconnected the spedo cable and gear links and trottle cable..i will post more pics wen ive the engine out.......

Why did you take the headlights out??

Are you dropping it out with the gearbox intact? I think its the easiest way,just take the exhaust of the middle hangers and slide it to one side.
Jack the back of the engine to hold it then use the crane or jacks to lower the car right down so when you lower the jacks the engine is sitting on the ground,undo the two side mounts and just get someone to put a hand to it while you jck or lift the shell up enough to pull it out.
**Take the wheels off to do it this way lmao

ya taken out both together....took off the lights 2 take out the air con(intact.not cut) plus i wanted them out so i could clean the frame and surroundings.. given this car a full makeover/manicure..no bolt will b left unturned.. was goin 2 lift out the engine but then again think ill drop it out if its easier.. grand project and very easy 2 work around and better again i now kno evey nut and bolt on the car...

excuse the tights but drained the oil and look what came out..
